Intervid Releases New Open Options Fusion Software

Observing an increased need for integration at the software level, Intervid has released its latest software, now fully integrated with Open Options' Fusion Software.  This exciting new development incorporates Open Options access control system alarms with Intervid's Alarm Management software, allowing for full reporting on user-define access control alarms, along with associated, related specified video events.  This truly elevates the DSS System to a whole new level of sophistication.

Intervid expands into Canada with the addition of Quinn Digital headquartered in Toronto and Orience Integration (a division of Northern Hardware) headquartered in Edmonton.

Quinn Digital focuses on video/closed circuit television (CCTV) and Access Control to supply leading digital corporate security solutions. They provide analysis, insight and strategy to companies seeking the latest technology solutions to match their asset protection needs. Based in Toronto, Quinn Digital serves businesses in eastern Canada.

Orience Integration installs, manages and executes complete integration with different security systems including access control systems, CCTV, intercom, and alarms. As a division of Northern Hardware, and based in Edmonton, Orience Integration serves companies in western Canada.

Intervid Releases New Incident Submission and Reporting Module
For continued enhancement of its DSS system, Intervid has released its Incident Submission and Reporting software module, providing a means for DSS system users to electronically manage incidents from a central database via the new “incident” desktop. By combining video footage (both stills and video clips) with notes, an easy to use escalation tree, and many other useful features, the product was developed to facilitate information sharing of both criminal and operational incidents in any large retail group. Designed for multiple store locations, the module provides easy and effective surveillance report, notification, and information sharing between loss prevent staff in different stores within the network.

Intervid Releases New 19" LCD Monitor with Built-in DVR
Designed for use in small-store environments, Intervid has released its new professional 19” network LCD monitor. With its built in 8-channel Digital Video Recorder, the unit provides very simple to use, menu-driven software to operate the DVR, and front panel controls. The unit can record and playback globally at 120ips @ 352x240, 60ips @704/240 and 30ips @704x480. The monitor includes 8 alarm inputs, and 1 relay output, and includes a built in speaker and 4 audio input channels.

Intervid Releases New 8-Channel MPEG-4 Mobile DVR
To meet growing demand in the mobile market, Intervid has released a new 8-channel MPEG-4 mobile Digital Video Recorder. The new unit, specially optimized for in-vehicle environments, includes rubber-bushed mountings, a front-loading removable hard drive tray, and integrated GPS with map tracing. Additional features include an embedded Linux operating system with recording and playback at 120 ips @CIF resolution, as well as 2 input and 1 output audio channels, 8 alarm inputs, and 2 alarm outputs, plus a single panic input.

The unit is ideal for use in the trunk of a vehicle, with the rubber mounting protecting the unit from vibration. The front-loaded hard drive allows each driver or officer to hot swap their own hard drive. In police applications, the unit can be set up to activate when the strobe is turned on, while the audio inputs allow recording from the officer’s wireless microphone.

Intervid Produces New Compact 4U ATM DSS Unit
Based on its customers’ needs for increasingly smaller DVR processors, Intervid has released its new compact 4U ATM DSS processor, measuring a mere 15 inches wide by 11 inches deep. The new unit is ideal for ATM machines, and is also perfect for space limited environments. The unit takes a single Intervid video card—either a 4-channel H.264, a 4-channel Wavelet, or a12-channel Jpeg, and up to two 1 TB hard disk drives. The new unit is also fully compatible with the Intervid family of DSS processors.

Intervid Releases Three New PCI-Based H.264 Compression Products
Intervid has released three new products featuring its new PCI-based H.264 compression that provides two times the compression performance of our MPEG-2 products for image capture, live display, transmission, and replay. The new products are:

• Video card – a new four-channel H.264 video compression card available as an option for the DSS-6000 recorder line, featuring 4 audio inputs and 4 audio outputs

• Single-channel H.264 encoder, allowing interface with non-IP cameras. The encoder features power over Ethernet, 2 isolated alarm inputs, 1 relay output, and an independent bidirectional audio channel.

• H.264 MiniDome day-night Sony Super HAD fixed camera with 2.8 – 12 mm vari-focal, auto iris lens in vandal resistant housing. The camera features a privacy function, setup via OSD, and Digital Noise Reduction.

Intervid Releases New Version

Intervid has released a new software version (v.5041) for the DSS video management system. This latest release includes many new features and functionalities including hybrid functionality to accept IP based cameras, web browser remote access to view live and retrieve stored video, an upgraded point-of-sale (POS) systems integration offering, and seamless connectivity with the new DSS central station products suite. Sentinel Technology
Reading School District (RSD) has recently implemented an Intervid digital video surveillance system in their High School. Sentinel Technology Group, an authorized Intervid reseller in Pennsylvania, delivered a networked video solution consisting of 8 DSS units utilizing Wavelet compression to monitor and record approximately 120 new InterVid cameras. The  DSS chassis were distributed throughout the high school and deployed on RSD’s existing LAN/WAN to minimize the high cost of camera cabling. Chris Gilbert, CEO of Sentinel, concludes “Intervid’s DSS system was the perfect solution for this application due to its robust network functionality and its inherent flexibility and scalability.” The high school installation was the first step in a comprehensive district-wide security enhancement program utilizing Intervid’s suite of products.
