Sentinel Technology
Reading School District (RSD) has recently implemented an InterVid digital video surveillance system in their High School. Sentinel Technology Group, an authorized InterVid reseller in Pennsylvania, delivered a networked video solution consisting of 8 DSS units utilizing Wavelet compression to monitor and record approximately 120 new InterVid cameras. The  DSS chassis were distributed throughout the high school and deployed on RSD’s existing LAN/WAN to minimize the high cost of camera cabling. Chris Gilbert, CEO of Sentinel, concludes “InterVid’s DSS system was the perfect solution for this application due to its robust network functionality and its inherent flexibility and scalablity”. The high school installation was the first step in a comprehensive district-wide security enhancement program utilizing InterVid’s suite of products.

InterVid Releases New Day/Night PTZ
InterVid has released new versions of both their high speed PTZ dome and their compact PTZ minidome. The InterVid DND-6300 is a high resolution (540tvl), wide dynamic range, day/night PTZ dome camera with a new 36x optical zoom lens. It comes complete with many high end features including programmable presets, tours, patterns, and privacy zones. The InterVid MPD-6500 is a high resolution (540tvl), wide dynamic range, day/night PTZ dome camera with a new 22x optical zoom lens all packaged in a compact, vandal resistant minidome. It also comes complete with many high end features including programmable presets and tours. InterVid Reaches Milestone
InterVid celebrated another milestone when it recently shipped its 6000th DSS digital video management system. Kevin Cornes, president of InterVid, Inc. comments “the DSS line has really picked up momentum, with over 1000 units delivered in the past 8 months alone and our new integration partner program being rolled out this summer, we expect to surpass many more milestones in the coming year”.
